[A Child's Game]

A Child's Game eh?

It feels like you are trying to make the song mimic the imagination of a child:
Ever changing, exuberant, full of surprise and promise.

I do enjoy this piece a lot. There is never a real settling point within the piece. I do enjoy how you have the melody playing subtly throughout each instrument. You really have to pay attention, and I love that!

Besides the beginning part (where all of the instruments become distorted,
which was mentioned in an earlier review), I must say that your portrayal of a 'Child's Game' was well executed!

Everytime I hear one of your laid-back tracks, I mentally force myself to become one with it.

To dive within the soundwaves and lose my grip on reality.

It's fucking great that you can sink so deep into my sound. There are times i'd like to hear my own music without knowing it's mine. [Medieval Cowboys]

Cuuuuttteee!

Of course, I love anything medieval, and this definitely fit the bill.

I think what did it for me, the most, was the seamlessness in terms of moving the melody throughout all of the instruments (starting primarily at 1:09). It's almost chaotic...

But in a great way!

I agree with Blazing's comment with the snares. Honestly, the percussion in general. They all fit snuggly into the context of the song without being overpowering or overbearing.

You even had the melody simmer down at 1:17.

All in all, I greatly enjoyed this (as usual).

Keep up the awesome work!

I remember the first time you submitted this song!

It sounds much better and I see you've added some other parts.

The only difference I see the most of, is the amount of swing. This one seems to be more rhythm driven, and the other one had more ... of a swing to it? More soul I guess?

Personally, I liked your other one more than this one, but the quality is topnotch!

This song has a lot of emotion in it.

Feels as if you're watching yourself drift away, not wanting to, but realizing that you have no choice but to.

Hm...

You did a great job of rendering the vocals in the beginning of the song. That is what caught my ear more than anything. Although this entire track is very nice.

Haha, wow.

I've been perusing through your song list, stumbled upon the 8-bit pieces scattered throughout your glitchy repertoire and must say that so far, this is a personal favorite of mine.

I know the world is moving outside of the shell that this song puts me in but it's as if I can't feel it. That or this song makes the movements around me too easy to ignore.

For a second I could have sworn I was floating face up in the stars, following the flow of the milkyway..

The beat was ebbing seamlessly in the melodies current and once I thought I had enough you through in the panning synths and it stops.

I do agree that it sounds empty at times. Also, I wish you could have had something less.. raspy and grungy to accompany the mog/bass synth. To give the song somewhere to go. It got my blood flowing at 00:35, and then.. it abruptly ended and didn't progress any further.

I say do more!

Nice! I really like the route you took with this! Especially the key and use of synths! A few things..

Master: Well yeah. I can't say much about that because I suck at that too.

Synths holding the Zelda main melody: I think there is too much reverb on them. The notes are running into each other.

The synth solo: I like it, but at one point it clashes with the synths in the background (00:40 - 00:41).

And this is a trance version. Where's the bass?! :D If you use boo bass, try and increase the bass on it, and possible adding bass booster (with additional tweakage). And try and find a heavier kick (or use the same kick you have), and experiment with some FL effects to give it a deeper, more penetrating sound.

Overall, not bad!
